Week 4: Through the Church

As we nurture our heads, hearts, and hands to implement Ministry Teams, the pastors and staff want to hear from the members of City Church. Let your voice be heard by personally answering these two questions in your small group.

These questions are related to the video corresponding with Ephesians 3:1-13.

Just as God has gifted individuals in different ways, He likewise has gifted particular churches in different ways. The collection of giftings that manifest differ from congregation to congregation. This means that one congregation may be more gifted to display one aspect of the wisdom of God than another congregation. This diversity of congregational giftings is part of the way the unsearchable riches of Christ and the wisdom of God is made known through the church.

Part of the mystery of the gospel now made known is that Christ made it possible for Jews and Gentiles to be included under the same religious category. This was the most unlikely of outcomes based upon the religious history of both groups. This possibility showed the ā€œunsearchable richesā€ of Christ.
